Umdlalo Lodge was established in 2004 and was born with the idea of providing an upmarket accommodation, restaurant and conference facility, with a different feel. This family owned and operated lodge is situated in Umtentweni, just north of Port Shepstone.

Umdlalo Lodge is easily accessible from the N2 Toll Road and within walking distance from the Umtentweni main beach.

Umdlalo Lodge boasts eight luxurious en suite twin rooms, catering for the needs of holidaying families and business representatives. In addition we have a spacious, comfortable and very romantic honeymoon suite.

Umdlalo Lodge also hosts the classy ZiZi’s Restaurant with chef Craig Tait at the helm. “Where dining is an experience”, is our motto at ZiZi’s.

Time is spent carefully sourcing, preparing and presenting the best food on the coast.

Our ladies bar lounge, with its unique decor, and our expansive veranda with sea views, has become a popular venue for business meetings and social get togethers.

Umdlalo Lodge’s conference room (for up to 30 people classroom style) can cater for smaller and more intimate conferences with specific needs.

The Lodge can easily be converted into a venue for an unforgettable wedding, birthday or private function, incorporating the luscious gardens and well-established trees.
