Mtwalumi Holiday Resort invites you to come and relax and recharge your batteries while enjoying an unforgettable holiday experience on our beautiful stretch of the coastline.

Mtwalumi is mainly a holiday and pleasure fishing village; the general appearance being that of a wooded environment, with many indigenous flora and fauna.

The main feature, other than the beach, is the Mtwalume River which forms a pristine lagoon as it makes it way seawards. The beach, within 500m of the resort, has rock pools for swimming and snorkeling or just to cool off during low tide and a tidal pool which nestles among the rocks with a long natural beach north of the pool. We have excellent rock and surf fishing spots where you can target anything from pan fish to prized gamefish and sharks!

Our resort is safe and secure with an electrified fence and is situated in the middle of the South Coast or halfway between Durban and the Wild Coast Sun Casino (both about 45 minutes in each direction). The bigger towns, Scottburgh and Hibberdene, have shopping centres and are just a short 15 to 30 minute drive away. Further along is Shelley Beach Shopping Centre which is a haven for shopping sprees and movies on rainy days. Both the Aliwal Shoal and Protea Bank are world-renowned dive sites.
