The Blue Marlin Hotel is situated on Kwa-Zulu Natal's Popular South Coast, just 40 minutes south of Durban. Nestled in sub-tropical gardens with a sparkling pool and ocean views to take your breath away, the Blue Marlin is one of those excellent hotels where guests intermingle and return year after year.
The hotel boasts 120 en-suite rooms with telephone, TV with MNET and a ceiling fan. Adjacent to the main pool is a splash pool for the very young and our play area with a trampoline, swings and jungle gym.

Scottburgh and other local bowls clubs have seen a big increase in the number of bowlers frequenting their greens, thanks to The Blue Marlin Hotel's international marketing of this social yet often very competitive "pastime".
Our marketing efforts were soon turned to the international bowler with the sell-out of a certain "Royal" group, we have seen many bowlers from the UK flocking to our shores to take advantage of the excellent all-round bowling weather, not to mention the exceptional prices of both the hotel and the clubs and the 5* service from everyone from the hotel porter to the bus drivers and the various club members.
The value of such a holiday cannot be stressed enough and from the time you "hit the ground" until the time we bid you farewell at the airport you are our guest and, in many cases, we become good friends. You will not find another group of people who take such pride and joy and care in your well being - and not only because you are the guest, but because we want to and we enjoy it.
With no less than 14 courses within an hour’s drive of the hotel along the South Coast, it is no wonder that it has been dubbed the "Golf Coast".
Kwa-Zulu Natal is home to 16 of the Golf Digest's Top 100 courses for 2005. They are rated in terms of their playability, overall appearance & upkeep, among other criteria. The Top 100 is hotly contested and a course's appearance on the list means that there is not only something there to see, but something worth playing too.
